At C.L. Martin, we understand that our buildings are more than just portables: they're your classrooms. We take great pride in the trust you place in our team to provide your students, staff, and trainees with high-quality, safe, and comfortable learning spaces.

From the top down, safety is our number one priority. We prioritize client and staff safety in every step of our process, starting with the design and manufacturing of our portables to their delivery, installation, and maintenance on your property.

Client and Site Safety

We keep our buildings and practices safe by:

  • Adhering to the Ontario Building Code;
  • Using high-quality building materials assembled in a factory-controlled setting;
  • Handling all normal-wear and structural maintenance of our portables while on site;
  • Upon return, carefully inspecting and refreshing each used building to ensure top-condition; and
  • Training all staff and crew members in best practices, proper procedures, and handling when it comes to every step of our process.

Our goal is always an incident-free workplace - one without injuries, occupational illnesses, and unregulated environmental releases from our operations. 

In order to achieve this, we:

  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations;
  • Provide safe working conditions to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our employees and contractor workers;
  • Monitor arrangements to implement health, safety and environmental performance; and
  • Report on health, safety, and environmental progress.

Community Investment

C.L. Martin is dedicated to supporting the local, Ontario communities where we live and work.

This includes sourcing and identifying local suppliers, sub-contractors, vendors, and labour in the geographical area of our scope of work. As well, strengthening the local economy by providing business and employment opportunities for local residents, including summer and student opportunities.
